A rule that is dumb at Olympian High School: No hats

One policy at Olympian is that we can not wear hats that do not have the Olympian Logo on it. This includes baseball, basketball, and non-logo bearing hats. This rule is stupid because if the hats are not worn in class, but at lunch, nutrition break, or PE, how does this hinder our learning or distract us from it? Also, A hat with an Olympian logo is STILL A HAT. It seems like our school is just trying to find a way to make money by forcing kids to either wear Olympian hats or not wear hats at all. Since the Olympian hats are not free, this policy seems to be benefiting the school funds more than it does our learning environment. Even so, some say that the school is merely taking advantage of the fact that Olympian Hats are the only kind of hat we can wear, so they might as well make money off of it. That may be true, however the policy itself is not beneficial to the students nor does it seem to do anything but annoy people and tempt them to brake the rule. Honestly, hats are not something our school should be giving so much attention to.

  1. I thought we could not wear hats cause of "gang affiliation"
