A Controversial Rule in Olympian

A controversial rule in Olympian High School that I do not agree with is the "no electronics in class" rule, specifically Ipods or any form of hearing music. I believe that it is reasonable for students to have the liberty to listen to their music when they are given the time by the teacher. For example, when taking a test, most students prefer to have their own music to listen to for reasons such as the fact that the music calms them down. Another example when a student should be able to listen to his or her music is when they are doing independent classwork. I understand that this may easily be abused by some students. I believe a solution to that dilemma is sterner teachers who need to edict the rules of the classroom and possibly threaten the students that the priviledge of using their iPods (or any other form of hearing music) may be taken away. Thus, I believe that iPods should be accepted in classrooms at the appropriate times.
