No "Shop Rule"

As my peer, Diego Florez mentioned below me, I find it stunning that so many schools, even Olympian bans inclusion of these "Shop Classes." These include home economics, body and auto shop, carpenter shop, and so on. This was due to the fact that these classes were deemed to be too dangerous for the regular curriculum. I understand that the Olympian and the Californian school system in general is strained on funds, but including these classes encourages scholastic activism, a larger variety of electives to choose from, and more jobs that could put more people back to work.
However, the downside to including these extra classes is a larger strain on the scholastic budget and an increased chance of accidents from these classes which would be more costly in the long run. The pros, however, outweigh the cons and the inclusion of these shop classes would be great for the students.
