Plagiarism

It is not worth it to plagiarize someone's work: the consequences are terrible and you simply do not learn anything. In high school, the aftermath of using someone's words and calling them your own could range from a 0 on the assignment to suspension of the student. Plagiarizing in college could result in expulsion, and no college would accept someone who has a record of plagiarizing. One could plagiarize in many ways. For example, someone could plainly rewrite an entire essay word-for-word. Another form of plagiarizing is taking information from a source, slightly rephrasing the content, and including it in one's paper. The purpose of an essay is to show how much you know about a topic; plagiarism doesn't help you at all.
