Cassius is the man who is creating the drive and planting the seed in everyones head that Caesar is overly ambitious and needs to be killed for the good the sake of Rome. He was personally compared Caesar to a sick girl to make him seem as though he was no better fit to be king as anyone else. He took advantage of the fact that Brutus will do anything for Rome. Cassius is jealous of the power being thrust upon Caesar.
