Cassius

Cassius is a general that works next to Julius Caesar. He is very jealous of Caesar's power and thinks that Caesar is not fit to be the King of the Roman Empire. He is alarmed when the people start to support Caesar to be King, so he tries to convince a fellow general; Brutus. As evidenced by the text, Cassius first calls Julius Caesar a god and immortal, but as he goes on talking about him, he starts belittling him sharing an anecdote with Brutus about one battle they fought together when Caesar fell to the ocean and was drowning, and also by saying that when they were in Spain, Caesar got sick and he calls him a sick girl. Cassius is a very convincing and ambitious character and he convinces Brutus that Caesar is not fit to be king by appealing to his sense of patriarchy and fidelity towards Rome.
