Hurricane Irene
Hundreds of thousands New Yorkers were asked Thursday to pack a bag and be evacuated immediately. Hurricane Irene has been a devastating tragedy taken place in the east coast. As an expert Hal Austin stated "Swells from Irene and 6 to 9-foot waves were showing up and winds were expected to begin picking up later in the day". This hurricane was the strongest to hit the east coast in approximately seven years. Many crops have been wiped out, many people have died due to power lines or the trees collapsing, thousands of houses have been destroyed and many streets have been shut down. Concluding with all the results Hurricane Irene has caused billions of dollars.
